Founded in 1971, Carreiros Campus was projected to be an environment for people’s interaction, a place where teaching, research, extension, culture and innovation could go hand in hand. It is a green area of 250 hectares allowing the proximity with nature during academic life. Its facilities are composed by more than a hundred classrooms, several labs, university’s restaurants, dormitories, a community center and a central library, apart from all business and support units. All these aimed at guaranteeing suitable facilities and safety to our students and employees, as well as to the community using the campus.

Health Center

Located in the center of Rio Grande, the Health Center holds both Medical and Nursing Schools, which also offer many Graduate Programs in the health area. Its structure, attached to the University Hospital Miguel Riet Corrêa Jr., counts with ten classrooms, one sectorial library and more than twenty laboratories. These facilities allow students to widely experience theory and practice during their entire academic journey.
